Marbella Celebrated the VI International Jazz Festival

After the extraordinary success of past editions, the VI International Jazz Festival of Marbella has been celebrated again this year, to flood with music distinctive places and the streets of Marbella and offering to the enthusiasts of the Jazz music, and the general audience, a unique event. The appointment has matched the beginning of the summer season, and has gathered in Marbella the best of both International and National artists.

One of the peculiarities of this Festival has been to literally take the Jazz to different locations of the city, amongst which the Casco Antiguo (Old Town), Boulevard Ricardo Soriano, Puerto Banús, Las Chapas, Cabopino, San Pedro Alcántara, the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos, a Catamaran boat, and the various Beaches and Parks of Marbella, filling these places with the romantic, vibrant and transporting sounds of Jazz music. The program of the International Jazz Festival of Marbella has welcomed numerous activities, such as: “Jazz en el Palacio ” (Jazz at the Congress Hall ), “Jazz en la Calle” (Jazz on the street), “Jazz a Bordo” (Jazz on board) and “Picnic Jazz”

The “Jazz at the Congress Hall” has hosted the performances of top artists of the Jazz International Circuit.

Within the wide range of initiatives, one of the attractiveness of the VI International Marbella´s Jazz Festival has been taking the music to the streets. People were able to enjoy gratuitous performances along the streets of the city of Marbella and its surroundings. A Jazz band has filled with rhythm the streets of Marbella, alongside our souls.

The "Jazz on board" of a catamaran with submarine vision has been one of the most acclaimed initiatives within the framework of the VI edition of the Festival. A maximum of 130 people, per session, were allowed on board of this special cruise, travelling transported by the sensual rhythm of the Jazz performed by talented guitarist René Toledo & CÍA JAZZ.

The sixth edition of the Jazz Festival also encouraged the fruition of Jazz music for the whole family with outdoors Jazz played in the scenery of an unforgettable picnic day in a park.
One of the main objectives of the organizing body is to expand the cultural offer of the County of Málaga and to include this Festival inside the national and international circuits of Jazz Festivals.

The International Jazz Festival of Marbella has gained itself a great reputation as for good organization and importance, and it is increasingly becoming a must go appointment for the experts of this musical style.

The profile of the audience of the Jazz Festival embraced the residents in the County of Málaga as well as thousands of visitors that have reached the Costa del Sol looking for leisure and culture in a time of the year where the extraordinary good climate has help making, of this festival, an unforgettable event.
